Support the future of our profession!! Sponsor a membership in NCRA and/or OCRA for one student (or more)!

Ohio reporters are amazing!!  There were 14 OCRA student members whose memberships were set to expire on August 31st.  All 14 students received a sponsor for their one-year memberships!  Way to go, Ohio!!

Along the same lines, NCRA has indicated that headquarters has been flooded with requests from students who would like to join NCRA under their Student Sponsorship Program. Through member sponsorships, NCRA has created a way for students to join NCRA for their first year at no cost to them. However, due to high demand, there is currently a waitlist and NCRA needs help from state associations like OCRA to spread the word and assist our future professionals!

For only $65 per student, you can help a future court reporter gain access to the following at NCRA:

•            An online mentorship program

•            Deep discounts to NCRA certifications

•            A Staples discount that will allow them to purchase school supplies

•            Discounts on store items like the RPR Study Guide

•            Ability to use the student rate for the NCRA Annual Convention

And remember, beginning the Fall 2015 semester in Cuyahoga Community College's court reporting and captioning program were 31 new students who are not yet members of OCRA!  Just think of how they will feel welcomed into our profession with a student membership in their only Ohio-based professional organization, as well as their national organization.

For OCRA, a student membership is $25, and the membership year starts September 1st and is valid for one year.  If you sponsor after April 1, dues will be applied to the upcoming dues year (from that point forward through August 31st the following year). Dues received between September 1st and March 31st will be applied to the current membership cycle.
