Supreme Court announces availability of technology grants

Update your court with the latest realtime technology!

Supreme Court of Ohio Announcement:

Technology Grant Funds Available

deadline to apply is March 15, 2016

The Supreme Court of Ohio has announced the availability of grant funds to support local court technology projects.  The funds will be used to address a variety of issues and situations where the lack of sufficient technology is a barrier to the efficient and effective administration of justice.  Technology grant funds may be awarded to courts for projects replacing hardware and software, upgrading technology equipment, and many other additions, upgrades, and purchases recognized as approved projects.

Numerous digital court recording and audio/video companies are seizing the opportunity of the Supreme Court’s announcement to solicit courts to upgrade their technology with these companies’ products.

Stenographic court reporters and captioners are technology and realtime is the only instantaneous speech-to-text method available for courts to utilize in their efficient and effective administration of justice.  Internet streaming, remote access, digital storage and permanent archival of steno notes and transcripts, and ADA compliant courtrooms are just a few factors that can be presented to your court as to why they should apply for funding through the grants available under the Ohio Courts Technology Initiative.

Reach out to your court team as a vital partner in advancing courtrooms around Ohio with the latest record making and realtime technology available in our industry.  It’s a win-win-win-win for judges, court administration, clerks, and the public.  Do not delay!  The Supreme Court must receive all grant applications by March 15, 2016.
