Message from the Board of Directors
The Ohio Court Reporters Association Board of Directors would like to thank the membership for their participation and support in the adoption of the bylaws amendments at the 2026 Annual Business Meeting.
With the adoption of these amendments, the Association now formally includes voice writing technology within its purpose and membership structure. This change reflects the continued evolution of the court reporting and captioning profession and ensures that our Association remains inclusive, forward-thinking, and representative of the professionals who make the record and provide captioning services.
Over the coming year, the Board will be working to update the Association’s governing documents, website, publications, forms, and other materials to incorporate these changes. We appreciate your patience as we work through this transition and implement updates across all Association platforms and materials.
We are excited about the future of the Association and look forward to continuing to serve and support the court reporting and captioning profession in Ohio.
Click here for the full announcement regarding the adoption of the Constitution and Bylaws amendments.
We couldn't have done it without you!
THANK YOU to all our 2026 Annual Conference vendors and sponsors!

Unplugged: The Power Behind Who We Are
Strong Skills. Strong Minds. Strong Individuals.
After a few days focused on Powering the Future: Strong Skills, Strong Minds, the Saturday Night President’s Party allowed us to unplug and celebrate the passions, perspectives, and personalities that shape who we are beyond our professional roles. From athletes to artists, travelers to tech enthusiasts, readers to risk-takers - every interest, hobby, and hidden talent represented adds depth to our profession.
All fundraising efforts held during the 2026 Annual Conference help support OCRA and the OCRA Cardinal Foundation in advancing the court reporting and captioning profession in Ohio.
Thank you to our silent auction contributors and all who placed bids for the silent auction this year. We utilized an online auction platform once again this year with great success. Attendees on-site, as well as colleagues, family, and friends who were not present, were able to view and bid on all silent auction items beginning at noon on Friday, March 20, and continuing through until the silent auction's conclusion at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Because of YOU we had another fabulous silent auction in 2026.
And a well-deserved acknowledgement and huge thank you to Greg Mizanin, our Silent Auction Chair/Coordinator, who made this year's silent auction possible. Interested in helping next year (big or small)? Please contact OCRA at ocraonline@gmail.com and let us know that you are willing to assist in any way with next year's silent auction.
