OFFICIAL COURT REPORTER

ANNUAL SALARY: $68,952 plus transcripts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have completed an accredited court reporting program
  • RPR certification is preferred
  • Must be an Ohio Notary Public
  • Qualified applicants may be required to submit to testing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a pool of reporters, rotating courtrooms every week
  • Creating verbatim records and transcribing court proceedings using computer-aided transcription on appeal or whenever requested
  • Option to transcribe trials or hearings from digital recordings
  • Maintaining all exhibits used in trials or hearings and filing them when needed
  • Maintaining personal job log and entering information into the computer
  • Able to perform real-time services
  • Answer telephones
